Accept Underpayments

This setting currently applies only to BTC payments.

We are working on expanding the supported currencies to which this and other configurations will apply to.

An Underpayment occurs when the amount of a received payment transaction is lower than the requested payment amount.

We've introduced a new stateReason for these types of payments called completed_underpaid, so make sure that you system won't have issues consuming it. The Payment Intent states, however, remain the same

By default, these transactions get rejected and the Payment Intent is set to failed state, and the customer is refunded whenever possible.

However, you can choose to accept Underpayments. This setting is beneficial for merchants that, for example, have a setup where they will increase the end-users' account balance by the amount the end-user sends/pays, regardless if this amount is smaller than the originally requested amount.
